I'm an Aspie-ADHD hybrid. When I was a kid, I used to be very hyperactive. My memories of me being hyperactive are from before eight years old (about when I started ADHD meds). My mom says that I continued being very hyperactive, in comparison with my 12-year brother, who has ADHD as well, but not ASD. (I'm 22. I don't know how to set my age in the forum settings. If someone can help me, I will be very grateful.)

Since seven years ago, I don't feel hyperactive. I feel more hypoactive (my overweight is evidence). When I was a kid, I couldn't sit still, but now I can stay in a seat for hours, wait in lines for a long time (if the place is quiet and I have time), etcetera, without stimming or fidgeting.
I don't think I grew out ADHD, but I have seen other adult ADHDers being very restless when I rarely am.

I have ADHD and am still pretty hyperactive. When I was a kid I couldn't stay still at all, and was always moving and fidgeting, and focusing on different things. I have better self control now, but my mind is still always racing, I can be a bit impatient, and I constantly need some sort of stimulation and get really restless trying to stay still, even though I can make myself do it now.

I have ADHD and definitely used to be hyperactive. Not so much now, but I do fidget a ton and can't really sit still.

That said, for adults hyperactivity really tends to become more internal. You may feel that your brain is very fast and chaotic, and/or an inner sense of restlessness.
