I know their something called hospice was the little boy in that.
and i don't know maybe i'm in the wrong but maybe she didn't take him cause she wanted him to die peacefully. a lot of parents decides this when a child has cancer. ( i don't agree but how can i disagree if i never been there) i honestly think the news had know right to even say anything about www.youtube.com/watch?v=6J2k8N7jqgM&feature=related autism because cancer was the main focus of why he needed treatment.

1. Causing serious bodily injury to a disabled person is considered more serious than causing it to a non-disabled person, on the assumption that the disabled person is less able to defend him- or herself. I think the news felt that to explain that charge, they needed to mention what his disability was, and austism is considered a disability. I'm sure if he'd been in a wheelchair or blind instead, they would have mentioned that.

2. Possibly, there are rumors flying about that suggest the woman let her son die because she could not handle having an autistic child. Or the news (or the other side's lawyers) are trying to imply this to make her come off as a true villain. I don't know her reasons for denying her son treatment for cancer...perhaps she felt letting him die in peace was kinder.

3. Hospice care is given when there is no chance the person will recover. Hospice care exists to make the person as comfortable and pain-free as possible in the last stages of their life. Since it sounds like the little boy had a good chance of recovering from his cancer, I doubt he was in hospice. Hospice care is not for people whose diseases or injuries can be cured.
