I type as INFP but lately I feel more like an ENFP. I'm of the personality type in which you actually care what your type is.

Most of my life I've tested as INTP but now as I'm going through midlife changes I'm turning more INFP

INTP, but this stuff is bunk. The "dichotomies" have normal distribution. In other words, people mostly fall near the middle of all the scales, so most introverts are only slightly more introverted than most extroverts, most "thinkers" only slightly different from most "feelers", etc. (which explains why test results tend to change with moods). My result was always INTP, though.

Here's the link to the original thread and poll from 8 years ago: https://www.wrongplanet.net/postx4421-15-0.html

I don't think it's bunk. It's a generalization, yes, but the question is are you more of an Introvert vs. an Extrovert...are you more of a Sensor or an iNtuitive, etc.

Yes, some people may be on the fence, as opposed to those more solidly on one side. But it's still interesting.

Personally, I can understand a variation between two types, like Feeler vs. Thinker if someone is on the fence. However, if a person is getting varied answers every time, they're probably not taking the test correctly. If someone has to think too much about an answer, or bases an answer on the events of that particular day, then he or she is taking the test incorrectly. The goal is to answer honestly with the answer that's more applicable throughout life, not just that particular week.

As for me, I don't take these test that often, but every time I do, I answer honestly and I always come out the same: INTP.

It seems most aspies are INTJ, with INTP being a second...and these are two of the rarer types of the 16 in total for the general population.

This makes sense. Most aspies are introverted. Even those who enjoy or seek out social acceptance still find it draining or need downtime, meaning they're still introverted by definition. iNtuition in this case means relying on past experiences to gauge a current experience. Since those with AS are bad at reading social situations, it would make sense that they're not Sensor types. Most of us spend a good deal of time in our own heads, meaning Thinking would be stronger that Feeling. Plus, they say males tend to be Thinkers more than Feelers, and if AS is more prominent among males, that could also explain it.

So I would assume most aspies (though certainly not all) would fall into the INTx category, then it's a toss up between Judging or Thinking.
