Does anyone else yawn constantly when they're cold? I have had this problem my entire life. I can remember once in sixth grade, when I had a class in a portable, the teacher said everybody was falling asleep because the room was too warm, so he opened the doors to let some cold air in (It was winter). I was fine until he opened the doors, then I started yawning uncontrollably.
I'm having the same problem right now at the place I work, because they have the air conditioning turned up so high in the room we're doing job training in, that everyone has to dress like it's winter, even though the temperature outside is above 40°C (105°F). It's still freezing in that room, even with a sweatshirt on. It's ridiculous. I asked our trainer if we could turn up the temperature, even by 1 degree, but she said if she did that, the room would get too hot. (I seriously doubt that). It makes me yawn constantly, and I think she might be starting to think that I'm getting bored or losing interest, and I don't want her to think that, but there's not much I can do about it.
But I digress.
Does this happen to anyone else? I've never known any NTs who have had the same thing happen to them, so I'm wondering if it's due to Asperger's.

I doubt that it has anything to do with Aspergers. I know plenty of people who like it cool when they sleep and don't sleep well when it is hot.

One thing I really like is to sleep with the window open when it is twenty degrees outside or even colder as long as I have enough blankets.

it happens to me, but not when i'm cold. i'm not sure what the trigger is, but sometimes i can get uncontrollable bouts of yawning. once i was in a night club and i had to go home it was that bad! i wasn't tired, but the yawning constantly was irritating. I doubt it is linked to AS though.

I read that yawning is not only caused by tiredness, but also boredom, agitation, or lack of oxygen. It happens to everyone. People with Asperger's are not affected any less or more with yawning.

So do I. Definitely not unique to Aspergers.
