Hello,

I'm a diagnosed Aspie. I have always for as long as I can remember come back home by like 4 PM at latest. I live with my fam. I really do want to go out at nights and to a club or something. But aside from not having friends, something's stopping me from being out during these times. I don't know what it is...it's almost like a fear or something. My fam's laid back so I can't imagine they'd oppose it. Can anyone identify with me? thx in advance

While it doesn't stop me from going out if I have to, if it's nearing nightfall or storming all I want to do is curl up inside. There's nothing I love more than being by an open window during these times, and just relishing the fact I'm not out in it. It just makes me feel secure and happy. :)

I don't really like driving or being out at night either.

I have the exact inverse trouble. I gravitate to crazy; thunder-snowstorms, loud electronic music, fast drives at night etc...
I can certainly appreciate shelter in the same way though. We get awesome electrical storms here...
