When I was in my middle school at gym class playing soccer with the other kids I had an experience that was quite strange I remember it pretty clearly but only remembered it after time had passed. I guess I didn't think about it back then because i didn't feel the need to. But now i got to ask you guys if this sounds like what you would call sensory overlode or maybe something elts. When the other kids were kicking the ball around I was standing in one spot protecting the gole I remember the feeling of being scared and the gym teacher trying to explain to me what I had to do but I didn't like being there i did want to try though. No matter how much he explained to me I'm not sure if I got it or not I don't remember but that's not really the point. I started slowly hearing the sounds of the gym teacher talking to me and the kids running around yelling to each other and the sounds of everything hitting the floor. Then he started yelling at me the gym teacher did. he thought I wasn't listening. I was but then again everything just overwhelmed me and my focus was on the sounds but i dont even think i realized that my focus was even on the sounds. because it just started forming together and then it slowly went out like a light bulb and I couldn't hear anything anymore. I didn't realize it only happened for a quick second. well that's what I believed but it may have been longer It seemed like the teacher was yelling at me for a while because when I came out of it he was saying my name over and over and when i responded i got in trouble he told me not to ignore him. It probably was longer than I realized but to me it was quick uncomfortable and scary. I also remember the feeling before the sound stopped for the second the feeling of being dizzy. Note: I never felt like that before. does this sound like a Sensory overlode? or something elts? I kinda want to say the sound was there...i just don't remember it after that. I also had an need to hold my ears but i new he would yell if i did so i didn't. so i was there kinda.

That just sounds like you were overwhelmed at the time.

This happens often to me during sports. Whenever someone kicks a ball, i flinch and raise my arms in front of my face slightly. Luckily, i have a very understanding P.E teacher, and i just get to use the gym equipment with a few other people instead because i can accomplish more.

sounds more like a panic attack to me... I'm sure sensory issues didn't help, though.
