I've made more friends in six months by simply joining a skype group.

But seriously why didn't anyone ever mention something like this to me before.

All the time wasted researching the disorder and I've found out more about it by simply talking to people on skype.

What gives why is this resource so ignored?

Chatting to someone on a chatline(via skype) is much easier than talking to someone face to face. In the group setting response is optional just like on WP, there is no video or audio, simply a textbox

And Skype drastically cuts down on the transportation costs as well. There is no real replacement for offline interaction, but with the current lack of Aspie offline social groups, I'd say Skype appears to be the best available option.

It's also due to the fact that technology has matured to the point where this type of direct person to person communication can be done reliably and cheaply (free in this case).
