You responded to one of my posts and said something that was meaningful to me, lifted some of my anxiety and made my day better. Yes, you do matter, and I'm glad you affected my life.
I couldn't agree more with what you say about how the smallest of things affects humanity. For a couple years now, I've been intentionally trying to have the courage to pay compliments to random people when I notice something I genuinely like. I typically do it when I'm at the checkout line in a grocery store, because it's a moment where that person is directly engaged with me... but sometimes I'll just say something randomly when someone's near me.
Like if the cashier has really pretty earrings, I'll let her know. Or if I overhear someone make a really good observation, I'll let them know. It's been good for me, because it helps my social anxiety, and it makes me feel good to get the positive reaction... and deep in my heart, I know that I'm affecting humanity in a positive way.
