Do it all the time because I am to focused on something else plus maybe a sensory issues .

Also what happens a lot when I do see somebody that I am going to bump into I move aside, the other person in tying to avoid me moves in way that we are still on a collision course. And this can go on for 3 or 4 times as we keep trying to avoid each other and still end up in each others way. I was always perplexed about this but now I think it might be a sensory issue.

Do you mean when you and another person walk in front of each other, you are both trying to go around but you both keep going the same direction so it looks like you are both trying to keep each other from going by? That has happened to me too. I just stand still and let them by or move aside before you get close to them.

Sensory issues cause me to retreat into my own mind when walking.

I do bump into people (and do the crazy left-right left-right dance).
I walk in an arbitrary zig zag pattern.
I also tend to caress people's hedges, brick walls, and the occasional garden gnome.

Because I had a lot of issues with this when I was younger I'm often hyper aware of where I am in relation to other people when I'm out in public. Bumping into someone leads to having to talk to them, apologize, potentially get roped into an awkward conversation... to me it's much easier to devote more energy to actively dodging people. When I'm at home though I run into things all the time. At least I don't have to apologize to the door frame.

I bump into people.
I do not like it.
the clothes feel,
strange.
I have problems
walking.
so,
I bump into them a lot.

That happens to everyone, trust me. I see it all the time.

And I find people walk into me all the time, and I'm not the ''it's always them and never me'' type of person. The other day I was walking along a street that wasn't too quiet but wasn't too busy. A man was standing talking to some people with little kids, and the man was looking in my direction as I was coming along and most likely saw me coming along. I had to go behind him to get round them, and just as I did, he stepped right back for some reason, which made me jump, and I reacted quickly and stepped out into the road, luckily there was no cars coming at the time. I hate it when people do that, as though they think there's nobody else around but them.

Yeah, I think it happens to most people, particularly in a busy place.
