hi, i know theres light sensitivity (which i have) and for me, sometimes the light can be blinding, like going outside, my eyesight decreases by 50% and it hurts my eyes, causing me to squint. but im also very sensitive to the dark, it hurts a lot, like A LOT to see in the dark, it makes me wanna cry and scream, is this even possible, and does anyone else feel this way?

I guess this goes back to your childhood when you said you had a fear of dark. Not full-on sensitivity, but I experience some anxiety and sleeping issues if I don't have some noise or low light going on at night to compensate.

Nah, I enjoy the dark sensory wise, but maybe that just me because I only have a little sensitivity to light. I've always been afraid of the dark though. Being afraid of the dark is not being afraid of the dark itself, it's about being afraid of the unknown.

I'm a night person. I don't go around gallivanting in the dark like I did during my drug seeking days, but I'm still up pretty late surfing the internet, watching TV or movies, playing video games or other things. I also prefer driving in the dark than in the light. The light makes me eyes water anyway.

I am opposite on that. Ambient light is more during the day, naturally, but it is easier for me still as, in night driving, there is much more sharp contrast; car headlights and even some taillights are very very bright, and traffic lights and marketing signage too. I admit I have a habit of incorrectly assuming cars in the oncoming lane are using their high intensity beams and flashing my lights at them to turn them off- and most of the time when I do that, they flash right back to show me I am wrong and they are using the normal setting. :?

I'm not sensitive to the dark, but I do feel discomfort in my eyes when I'm in a room and it's getting dark outside but the light isn't on. My pupils feel like they are stretching wider and wider and I just have to put a light on. I like bright lights too. Also I sometimes dislike eating in a pub because usually pubs are very dimly lit inside and I feel all dazed. I prefer to go to a sunlit restaurant or a very well-lit one if it's night.

My eyes are sometimes sensitive to the sun (especially in the winter), but it never bothers me. I like light. My mum said that before I was tall enough to reach the light switch, I used to climb up to switch the light on because I could not stand the room to even be the slightest dim.

Of course driving dark is tough because there is too little info.

But being in the darkness in silence is a pure joy! It's a place of coolness and peace!

When (I hope) to see the Face of God in heaven when I die, I know that the glorious illumination of the Face of God which I shall see shall not overwhelm my soul, because God is so good and so understanding of the individual. Because in heaven I will still be autistic. It will be very interesting to see what worlds God shall grant to us in the next dimension.
