I do have a full-time job at which I function at a moderately high level, albeit with depression and anxiety. So I am up and about during the day. But I don't feel at ease until the sun goes down and everything is quiet. I wonder why this is.

I don't know about you, but the sun hurts my eyes and I find the daytime loud even when it's silent in some indescribabe way, so I always feel better at night.

I just got your avatar! I was thinking it was a Catholic thing. Pretty funny.

You have less sensory overload at night. Everything is darker and quieter.

I should have known that too!

Didn't you say something about NT Zones stressing you out once? Are you out of those zones at night? No trying to figure out what the pesky little devils want you to say or do. (Unless you have to do it at night too.)

In my case, probably because the phone doesn't ring as much.

I always feel more relaxed at night. Even when I do overtime at work and work the night shifts, I am a lot more relaxed than I am when I work during the day. For me, it's something about the outside world being so quiet at that time.

I really like your blog! "You might have Asperger's if...." hits too close to home.
