I want to know if this issue is something particular to me or if it may be ASD related.

Often when I take the first one or two bites of some food, I will feel something like pain, or at least severe discomfort from the taste of that food. Case in point: Snickers. I love them! I've had at least one, if not two per day every day for the last two weeks. Nevertheless, EVERY time I take the first bite (or first 1-3 bites), I get this taste pain - it's like brain freeze you get from icecream but not quite as severe.

I get this with other foods as well, but Snickers I've noticed lately in particular.

Does anyone else have the same problem?

Maybe, also a person not yet drooling over their food can get sudden - saliva cramps(?) I guess.
Or at least I do, it can kinda hurt.
Kinda like my mouth suddenly goes, "Oh yeah! Food! Crap we weren't ready!" and jumps to it, whole mouth juices all at once.

^ yes, like that! I don't want to go to my GP and suggest brain tumor if it's likely just a sensory overload issue

Oh yeah, that's a normal occurrence for me. I'm used to it. Any time any one of my senses has to "start up" I get a kind of intense buzz or shock feeling inside my head. It's quite annoying but I don't think it's anything to be too concerned about.
