Wouldnt it suck if you started dating someone who you later fell in love with,
you spent all your time with this person you felt like your life was finally complete
You decide to get married
but on your wedding day
11am in the morning
on the way to the wedding
he/she has a car accident
killing only the one that you love
How would you feel?
How would you cope?
how would you live?

.........I would die from hurt.

I dunno, but I'd imagine I'd be distraught with the cruel trick fate had played on me....

Absolutely wretched and distraught with depressive feelings. I'm sure this has actually happened before.

Erm what's the point of posting a hypothetical and disastrous situation that is extremely unlikely to happen and has nothing to do with AS or autism?

Yes, that would suck. Obviously.

...you'd feel heartbroken and lost.

...you would feel worse however, if the person was still around (and started dating someone else - even more emotions ... potentially)

erm... I hope that it hasn't happened to you or anyone else here.
(odds are that it has happened to someone somewhere, none the less)

Even though it doesn't have to do with Autism this is the General forum but I admit that this should have been in the Love forum. I would be very upset and probably have many meltdowns before I come back up and feel right again.

In response to this question, I can only reply: Have you seen "City of Angels"?

But, really, I have always known that my husband is my soulmate, from the day we met, and I remember a conversation we had when we had been together for a few weeks or months in which I told him that it no longer mattered what else happened in my life, just finding him and knowing him for this time is all I ever needed. I had had my glimpse of Wholeness and would forevermore hold that within me. Nothing could take that away, not even death. There was a moment we shared that revealed to us both that underlying everything is an amazingly benevolent, magical force. There is fate, there is "true love", there is something more to life than what we perceive with our limited human senses. I will never forget that flash of truth. If I lost my husband, that truth would sustain me through the rest of my life. I imagine I would raise my daughter and then perhaps join an international aid organization and try to pass on to others some of the goodness I've had in my life.
