The first time I fitted contacts it was terrible. It hurt so bad and I couldn't open my eye to get it out. Tears flooded for what seemed an eternity. The lady finally got them out and put some drops in my eye to get the irritation to settle down, and then after several more attempts I finally was able to put them in. I actually can't stand wearing them, however I need them because I have a degenerative eye condition that requires wearing contacts much of the time to halt the progression of the condition. I did get used to them but they are never entirely comfortable. I also have a terrible tendency to rub my eyes due to allergies, so it makes it more difficult to wear them. But, I had to desensitize myself to them and that took a long time. But if you don't need them then you should simply wear glasses. I know when I was younger I had a hard time wearing even regular sunglasses but again, it took a lot of times to wear them before I got used to them sitting on my nose and against my ears which was very uncomfortable for me.
