after reading others stims have here on WP or online somewhere else, have you gotten them yourself? for example, i never used to head bang, but now I do after reading it, like in cars.. Also I picked up finger flicking from reading it on another thread somewhere.

I don't think I've "picked up" any stims from here so much as I've finally learned that what I've done all my life to relieve tension/anxiety and express my joy/excitement is called stimming. I never realized there were so many different kinds of stimming until I joined up here. :)

I haven't really picked up any new ones, but I have noticed that I have become comfortable enough with myself to be able to allow myself the time to stim whilst I am at home or somewhere private.

Nope. I already have way too many.
1) playing with the tip of my nose with my thumb and forefinger.
2) wringing my hands
3) head-bobbing
4) scratching the whiskers on my face with my wrists
5) rolling my head around
I don't do any of these in public.....

Not really, but I have come to realize just how much stimming I do.

I didn't start hand flapping until I acquired ASD as a special interest, and I started looking into stims. When I was happy, I usually just put my hands over my mouth, made high pitched noises, and leaned back and forth.

I'm not sure if I've picked up any other specific ones, but I've noticed that I've either been stimming a lot more lately, or I'm just more aware of it.
