1. i let what KOZ said get to my head

2. i assumed that when people say inferior they meant in terms of superiority and not in functioning

3.

Quote:
um Isnt thinking like that hypocritical. Your implying that what orginizations like autism speaks are not only correct but encouraging them by saying oh we don't want associated with those retaded kids who who have no thought in their brain no feelings, and don't have anything more functional to do then flap their hands spin around and bang their head against the wall. which isn't even accurate in the first place.

Its good to know where I and the other kids in my program stand around here Crying or Very sad where's the autism speaks doesn't speak for autistics now?
sorry starkid

can you ever forgive me?

Words do have double meanings. I knew you meant to convey was different from what it looked like based on your point of view in your other posts.

Do you think "more affected" and "less affected" is less judgmental then "functioning" because "functioning" is describing how well one "functions" in the NT world?

I think it is because even though autism is part of who we are at times I just wish I could take a pill and my sensory overload and exhaustion would go away.

thanks for being so understanding
