So, previously, people could be diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome via the RAADS-R (Amongst other things, but it's my understanding that this was the main test). However, now that Asperger's is no longer a diagnosis supported by the DSM-5, and I don't think that I'm alone in saying this, I'm a bit confused as to where everything stands.

I'd like to know if there's a "gold standard" replacement test for ASD that the RAADS-R test was for Asperger's.

The RAADS-R was never gold standard test for AS under DSM-IV. The RAADS-R, like the AQ, is screening questionnaire to detect potential autism spectrum people. The AQ is older and more popular screening questionnaire than RAADS-R. Neither RAADS-R or AQ are diagnostic tests. The gold standard diagnostic test is ADOS.
