i cant stand loud noises, like some people when they talk, babies crying, dogs barking, door bells, people knocking on the door, any humming noise drives me nuts

i also have trouble seeing in a bright area, like a sunny day, 50% of my eyesight goes away, and it hurts a lot, wearing goggles hurts my eyes a lot. fluorescent lights will make things harder to read.

i dont like the feel of wool on my skin, or even some rough scratchy textures

some tastes, like bitter and sweet are too sensitive, while spicy (thanks to my moms cooking) is hypo sensitive. i cant drink water because it has no flavour, i only drink things with flavour or it makes my stomach feel sick.

my scent is usually Hypo-sensitive to musky smells

if i get too hot ill have a sensory overload, i dont like getting too sweaty.

i dont let people touch my ankles, theyre very very sensitive

i know its not a sensory thing, but im also very sensitisitive to waiting, i cant wait for something for very long or ill have a meltdown, same think with being picked on, im very sensitive if people i like say they hate me and think im ret*d.

My skin. It's dry, itchy, prone to rashes, and my clothes bother my skin. I am super-sensitive to temperature.

I am also super-sensitive to my internal state. For example, how hydrated I am, or how fast and strong my heart is beating. I can also tell intuitively what nutrients my body needs at any one time. For example, at the moment I need meat, salt, and a Dominoes Pizza.....

Noise and smell are my problems.

I surely hate loud noise but even not too loud noises can also distract me and make me very uncomfortable. I tend to get angry when there is music, TV, radio etc on.

My sense of smell is quite sensitive. I tend to notice very subtle smells. Many smells tend to make me sick. I dislike most perfume smells.

Food is my biggest issue. I can't eat fruits, vegetables, and a ton of other stuff. It's extremely fun having to order chicken off the kids menu when you have to go to a Mexican restaurant. /sarcasm

Loud noises are also another big issue. If there's unexpected loud noise, I'll sort of shut down, not saying anything and just sort of standing there. However, I like it if it's my music that's loud, but only if I'm not trying to do anything else; I'm wondering if audio stimming is a thing, cause if it is, I think me listening to music at full volume might be an example.
Noise in general is an issue when I'm trying to concentrate on something. I usually have to wait until I'm home to do my homework cause of the people in my class, and I can't focus on anything unless I'm in a completely quiet environment.

I am very sensitive to loud noises, especially when they are sudden. I cannot stand the sound of balloons popping, dogs barking, alarms and sirens, thunder, or people yelling. When I go to a fireworks display, I always bring earplugs with me due to the noise.

I am also sensitive to strong smells, especially that of onions, skunks, and cigarette smoke.

I also can't stand the taste of onions because they make me gag.

I can't stand the smell of changing rooms. So I don't use them.

I get scared easy.

I have sensitive finger tips, so it makes it hard to fasten buttons.

Loud noises, especially sudden, shrill, echoey, throbbing or humming sounds. So doorbells and phones, certain types of vehicles, the humming of certain appliances, that sort of thing.

But also, the house I live in has a very echoey communal stairwell, and when people talk as they walk up the stairs, it drives me nuts. Just now my neighbour had some visitors arrive; she and, apparently, they are all very girly girls, so there were all these squealy greeting sounds going on for several minutes and echoing through the house. Or when I used to live with my dad and he'd turn the TV up too loud, so there'd be this booming unintelligible noise coming through to my bedroom above. That would send me into meltdowns. (Asking my dad to turn the TV down was a complete non-starter.)

Flashing lights, or very bright light. Certain strong smells bother me too, but not to an unbearable extent.

Other people - I struggle to concentrate on anything else when there are other people around.

Food-wise, I have a bizarre aversion to boiled carrots, they make me gag. But I'm not sure that's a sensory issue, it might just be a "carrots are vile" issue...

^^Oh, I don't mind a boiled carrot or two, but I can't tolerate asparagus.

Is this question open to interpretation? If it's ok I'd like to ask if people could share what types of sensory input makes them feel good. As highly sensitive people I think we can also respond positively to the right kind of stimulation. For example, I feel happy and calm in response to natural sounds like the ocean or the wind.

Have you tried that hemp moisturizer stuff The Body Shop sell. I know people with skin problems who swear by it.

I absolutely HATE havings gnats or flies flying about aro.

I HATE the heat

Above my heels, I hate being touched. It's a sensitive area.

Whenever I used to visit the dentist, the light would be so painful in my eyes, that even if I closed them, I felt like they were burning still. Even glasses didn't help. I also always used to (still do sometimes) tear up when getting a haircut, because I hate when they cut the front of my hair above my forehead, it's really uncomfortable.

I have extremely sensitive skin. You can basically see my blood running through it, and it always red. Certain chemicals make my skin red and itchy.

Loud sounds, bright light, strong smells ... especially when they occur suddenly.

Tobacco smoke especially makes me sick -- headache, nausea, vomiting -- and some co-workers have taken to violating our state's 20-foot limit to smoke. They stand just outside the roll-up door, smoking and gaffing off. I've told them it makes me sick, and that they need to stand 20 feet (or more) away from any door or window. Monday, I'm going to the boss.

Noise, crowds, certain textures, bright light and heat. I have no problem with taste anymore, or with smell, I guess cigarettes are there to thank for that...

Same for me.

Bright lights cause me physical pain, nearly wound up slamming a friend's head into a wall for shining a key-fob light in my face (he didn't know any better at the time).
Loud unexpected noises can do the same, especially if they are high-pitched noises like shop/car alarms. Loud music is fine if it's music I like.
Too many conversations going on at once can disorientate or agitate me.
I can't tolerate too much heat/humidity, I'd rather be too cold than too hot.
I don't particularly like being touched by anyone I don't know well enough to be comfortable with.

The itchiness of my skin / rashes is due to my level of stress and overwhelm. It has nothing to do with allergens of any kind. I have some funny stories about visits to the doctor's when dealing with this (usually they're just confused because they can't identify it as anything), but the funniest one was when a doctor prescribed a relaxant and antihistamine for me, and under the diagnosis he simply wrote, "itchy."

If I had to say what the one thing is that seems to bother me the most, it is noise and then a variety of other things such as itchy clothing tags, certain bright lights, and crowded and noisy places. This is a general overview of things that I am sensitive to....
