I believe that Temple Grandin said something about sensory issues, and how laptops might be better than Computers.
Mom has always wondered why I do better with laptops, and we were discussing that(and Temple Grandin) earlier, unforutneately we can't remember which video it was. The particular video in question also discussed other sensory issues.
Link to the sensory video, please?

As I remember, Temple said a laptop typically does not have the flickering light a desktop often has.

I do remember one video and should be able to find that one.

I'm confused but this seems interesting, can you elaborate a bit more?

That's interesting, post it when you can. I've always found using a desktop computer harder and more stressful to use, never really though about it though.

I think about ten minutes is where Temple's main part on sensory issues is. The speech is called:

CSULB - Temple Grandin - Focus on Autism and Asperger's Syndrome

It's the old CRTs, I always had to up my refresh rate because anything 75hz or less was annoyingly flashy.

It's like I blink and the screen parts move. Sometimes it gets black and white for me. Referring to the screen on a PC. So far it hasn't happened to me on a laptop, and some other electronic devices.

I think maybe that was about those old gigantic glass monitors.

LCD flat screens are pretty much the same as a laptop screen. If you have an old glass CRT on the other hand, those can cause headaches in everybody. Because they can effect even normal people, I can imagine the effect that they can have on people with sensory issues. Back when I had one of the glass tube picture creating devices, I used to have to keep the refresh above 75 Hz or get headaches from eye strain. If I stayed at a computer set to low, I would eventually start seeing the flicker.

I've never had that problem with a laptop or a flat screen.
