Hello Friends,
I've heard that autistic people can predict future events or tendencies/trends...
Can you?..
Can you confirm?.. Deny?..

Yes, and now for the low, low price of six payments of $199.99 I can guarantee you success in love, career, and finance. Put down the silly horoscopes and consult Madame Coffeebean, The Girl With the Autistic Brain, today.

This seems like a strange thing to ask.

I'd say based on how well I know a person, I can predict what decisions they are likely to make and what the outcome would be. That's about it. I find I'm right a a lot, but I can also be wrong a lot as well. It's 50/50. I can't predict future events though.... too difficult.

We're not pre-cogs  but some of us might benefit from trusting our best guesses more often.

Can't predict the future but I do get premonitions from time to time of events that have happened to me or the people around me. I get it in the form of a dream but it's different from an ordinary dream- it feels way more real and I just know that there is something different about it. It's confirmed when the event happens

No we cannot predict the future. I think if our obsessive behavior is with patterns we can see patterns in people and social structures. With that we can make semi decent assumptions that someone is going to do this or that. Before I found a career I could function and be happy in I worked in retail (was terrible). Even though I didn't interact socially with most people I could and would pick up on people who were having affairs before everyone else. Also, at work I noticed a lady was pregnant before anyone else knew or announced it. I also watch a lot of people and how they interact from a distant (yup, been called creepy before) so when someone does something out of character for themselves i notice it. I might not understand why they do it and I dwell on it but I notice it.

A neurotypical cannot predict the future because the future is not socially acceptable with today's norms.

androbot2084,
I have had autistic tendencies in the past, as I guess from today's sight...
I have just overcome it...
So I understand you friends...

so as you think if a person accepts everything as is, without one's involvement, to "see" something in the future is possible...

Actually I guessed the same from my experience...

If one were able to see 100 years into the future the cultural shock would be unacceptable to current norms of thinking.
