Test for prosopagnosia. I scored 100% (85% is the averae) I also scored 34/39 on the Mind in eyes test. Very very interesting. I always thought that I was pretty below average at recognising faces. It might just be the fact that I dont wear glasses and im very very short sighted.

Take with a pinch of salt however. You're more likely to get a high score if you love cinema as I do. Most of the faces are also very very well known. Its flawed but provides a decent indication of prosopagnosia.

Test for Alexthymia - better than the prosopagnosia test but again its only a primitive indication. I scored 110 indicative of some alexthymic traits

but "Test my brain": "Same face": 65 (average 65,5) and "Face Memory": 59 (average 52,5).
Experience with drawing helps

50%, though that might be in part just because I'm not familiar with many of these people's faces, I know their name but not their face. Like I did perfectly on all the presidents, but less well on the actors, I don't watch so many live action movies.

I actually knew more of them, but I couldn´t remember the names, because I was asked to, - not even Robert de Niro

97%. The only one I missed was Tony Blair. Even after learning it was him in the photo, it STILL doesn't look like him. It seemed awfully easy to me. I'm a big movie and TV viewer though, so I guess it would be. I think a better test would be to show several pics of faces that you can study for a few minutes, then show photos one at a time. Then you click whether the photo was in the original mix of faces.

This is a more involved test. Its the cambridge memory face test plus a few others. I think there are something like 500 faces...

yeah i did quite of few of the tests on that site now, and none of them seem all that scientific, accurate, or well designed.
i'm not saying my results sucked, I'm saying the tests are about as useful as the statement that

98% of all statistics are arbitrary.

I think it was the vocabulary test that decided me.

One of the faces I missed was Patrick Stewart aka Captain Picard on Star Trek!
My current special interest is Star Trek!

I did this test last year with a friend watching. I missed Patrick Stewart, which shocked her given that I have been a dedicated TNG fan since 1989 and watch an episode most days. I also missed most of the other faces, getting a couple of them right by guessing. Of course, I also failed to recognize her in photos she showed me from a recent corporate outing of hers.

Sorry, but I can't recall my precise score, and don't feel like retaking the test. I know I'm face blind.

Update: I retook the faceblindness test, getting 77%, mostly due to my remembering the test from when I last took it.
I also took the alexithymia test, getting 157. No surprise there.

Prosopagnosia (face blindness) and Alexithymia are different phenomena, although it is possible for a person to have both.

Prosopagnosia is due to not forming strong connections to mirror neurons and fusiform face area of the brain early in life. The brain is highly plastic, but neurons that are not used get pruned. As an adult if you want strengthen your face recognition abilities you have to strengthen connections and build face recognition skills explicitly.

Most ADS folks can recognize emotional facial expressions, especially negative. Emotional unresponsiveness is often due to not learning the social context to respond to the expressions. Again this involves the mirror neurons, so activities that strengthen mirror neuron connections improve both Prosopagnosia and Alexithymia, so they appear to be more related. Our current society expects this to be learned implicitly (by chance). Most benefit from explicit teaching (by design).

I scored 30 percent. The pictures were poor pictures, as far as I'm concerned.

It doesn't assume you're autistic, because there are allistic people who are alexithymic as well as autistic people who are alexithymic. Alexithymia is common in autism though.

(Personally 162 on the alexithymia quiz; the word alexithymia described me so well it was great, I'd been trying to figure out how to describe myself and then there was a word for it!)
