Do individuals with an ASD experience crushes?

Have you ever had a crush?

I had a "crush" when I was 9 on a woman from a police TV show that was really beautiful.
But of course it can't be called a crush since I was only 9 and it was on a TV character.

I've only had one crush for a real life person and I still do. My friend Andrew. I have a crush for him since I was 15.
I am 16 (turning 17 this year).

I'm not sure why that doesn't count. :?

I had a crush on a guidance counselor when I was in 5th grade. I think it was more in response that she was the only person in my life who was nice to me.

Yes, I've had several crushes. But it's always for people out of my league, hence why they were only crushes.

When I was a kid I had a crush on Wonder Woman.

I choose the actor. I observe NT's. I listen to their socializing. I practice it, so in social situations I can just emulate/mimic what is expected.
It isn't natural for me, but it enables me to "fit in".
It is VERY tiring and draining, but at least we can appear like them even though it is an act. Like being on the stage.
They can't see it is emulation, and so we are accepted.

I had a few crushes. One boy in high school who was on the academic team with me. One in college (first year) was an artist junior, later there was a boy in my discipline my last two years of college. Nothing came of them.

Yup I've had crushes. Not as many as most people I know seem to have. I've gone years of experiencing no crushes.

People with ASD ARE NOT ALIENS!! !! !! !! Were human beings whos brains work differently. its completely natural to feel 'crushes' or an attraction to someone else.

Too many to count throughout middle and high school, but none of those actually went anywhere as they were more of a "worshipping from afar" type thing. I became a lot more proactive in college though, in terms of explicitly showing interest as opposed to just keeping it to myself.

I have had two maybe in over four decades. The first one I remember was for a little boy in my class when I was five because I loved his hair. The other one was when I was much older maybe fifteen years ago.
