...And not surprisingly, I do in fact have Asperger's Syndrome... (My Psychologist still uses that term to describe those that are high-functioning).
I was originally classified as "high-functioning" by the NEISD, but now I've actually gotten a "proper" diagnosis from an actual professional; she comes down from Dallas to San Antonio once a month to work with children and adults on the spectrum.
Not also very surprising to me, but I've also been confirmed to have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, (ADHD), and Generalized Anxiety Disorder.
The only one I didn't know about that I had was a Nonverbal Learning Disability, (NLD).
I have already been given several recommendations by my PhD, one of which involves me joining a local Asperger's support group in my area to help me branch out to those more like me and to work on my anxiety and social skills.
So, I finally know a little bit more about myself... Thanks to that testing.
