Whenever I'm sat down, I always stick my feet up so my feet aren't resting, just my toes. Sometimes I even lean the back of the heels against the arm chair for example and have my toes on the floor, feels so comfortable.

Is this a common thing for a lot of people to do, NT's and AS's?

In regards to the former, I don't think that's abnormal, and I don't think it will cause you future foot damage.

As for the latter, I can't figure out what you mean. I tried to visualize it in my head, but my mind doesn't have enough information to go on. Which is slightly disturbing, because I am highly visual person, despite my glasses.

I've never seen people doing it, unless they're on a very high chair and can't reach. So I'd say it's probably unusual.

If I am understanding you correctly, then ---I do this,{but I've just never given it any thought before....or tried to describe it}

I put just my toes on the floor, which is usually easy, as I have short legs. It makes it easier to do my other habit, which is bouncing my leg.

I do this all the time while sitting, AND I'm a toe-walker. Do I get extra points? :lol:

What is it with the toe walking thing? I had no idea this was associated with autism before reading about it on WP. I always walk on my tiptoes whenever I can, I just assumed this was a personal quirk.

I too never thought it had anything to do with autism until I came to WP as well. I think it has to do with fulfilling stemming need as it allow you to bounce on your calf muscles.
