Does this happen to anyone? I used to go home after parties and just cry, never understanding why. I did a ton of stuff with people this weekend, and enjoyed all of it really. But tonight I feel my mood suddenly crashing. I happened to think one sad little insignificant thought that I would usually just laugh off but I had to go bawl for a bit. I sense that this silly little thought didn't warrant that reaction, I'm just suddenly on emotional overload. Does this ever happen to you? It's like a meltdown that happens after a build-up of social interaction

when theres a change in routine, i will meltdown after a week, or sometimes a few days. very rarely do i ever meltdown at the moment of change, i think its because i dont realise the reality of the change and end up melting down later

Yes. I think it happens because, while we so love other people, we also feel so very distant. It is a joy and a suffering to be with people we love, and it hurts. It's okay.

I don't cry, and I can't guarantee if this is exact but after leaving places and people I've become accustomed to I feel crushing sadness and that's likely because I know it's a rare event for me, or that I'm missing someone. This was more prevalent when I was young. For example, when someone left my house I would watch their car until they were out of my view (feeling sad), and then, admittedly, I went to smell where they last were in my house and kept doing that on and off for a few hours. Really weird. >.>

If I go out to a loud public place, like karaoke at the bar even if I do enjoy it I am exhausted when I go home, even though all I did was sing a couple of songs and sit alone quietly watching the action. I did nothing but come home and crash.

definitely, because I know it will be a long time before I enjoy myself in such a way again, if ever. Happened the last time I went out on a date.
