It's been awhile since I have posted on this forum but now here I am and here is something I want to discuss.

What is the worst place in public to have sensory overload?

For me the most awful place to have sensory overload is at an airport especially at security. You can easily get confused, disoriented, even loose your sense of reality. Of course I have been through security airports many times as to not be an issue and I have managed to keep it under control, but if I'm not careful I could easily get confused and since I've gotten older, it has been less of an issue but rarely does it happen.

I too dislike the security line. You have a whole line behind you expecting you to go through quickly. I tend to have sensory overloads in parking lots, driving through them (passenger) and walking through them. Once car makes a left turn, another one pulls in, one backs out, an as*hole is speeding, etc. drives me nuts!

I hate public bathrooms, not just because they're dirty, but they're loud. If i'm lucky the toilets won't flush automatically, scares me to death. Plus those damn hand dryers, those are the worst! People slamming stall doors, running sinks, talking, etc.

Sports venues are bad for me. I've been going to them all the time since I was very young, so I'm kind of used to it. But yes, they can cause a ton of anxiety.

So, they're you go. The worst sensory places for me :)

Coffee shops are bad. Something about the combination of chatty customers, orders being called loudly, and coffee grinding has always made me freak out.

Any place where there is a lot of people talking. My mind is always trying to lock in on everything and it drives me f***ing nuts.

School is the worst place for me to have it, because it is the one place I want to stand out little as possible.
Other places that are crowded noisy im usually scrunched up against a parent wearing shades and ear buds with music or white noise.

Worst place to hit sensory overload?

Middle of the road. It's really unsafe.
