Today I was bought a gift. It was something that I have wanted for a long time.
The result is that I feel shakey (if my put my hands out in front of me they are trembling). I'm not feeling scared, but it feels like adrenaline as I feel full of energy, and my thoughts are racing. I also feel happy so there is also some seratonin, but not so much that I feel "zuzzed".
It isn't that I've forgotten to take the ADHD meds, but it does feel a bit simular to as if I had forgotten to, but without the impulsivity.

Is this emotion Excitement? I think it might be. Am I right?

We can either try to "fit in" with the rest of society, or we can be so egocentric that we can't be bothered.
I choose the actor. I observe NT's. I listen to their socializing. I practice it, so in social situations I can just emulate/mimic what is expected.
It isn't natural for me, but it enables me to "fit in".
It is VERY tiring and draining, but at least we can appear like them even though it is an act. Like being on the stage.
They can't see it is emulation, and so we are accepted.

Yes, you are right, this seems to be excitement.

At least it would make sense.

That sounds really good. I encourage you to ride with it, do things and projects you've been thinking about and looking forward to, be open to branching out. And enjoy both the up energy periods and the down periods. :nemo:

And just realize, sometimes other people are decent and helpful, and sometimes they're not (I have to keep reminding myself of this one)

Hi Sylvastor,
I wasn't too sure what it was that I was feeling, and excitement does make sense. I asked a few "Real World" people and they said the same.
So now I have felt that emotion. The emotion of excitement.
