I just watched this programme on the BBC iPlayer.
[Sorry, because I'm a newbie, I'm not allowed to post the link.]
Then looked up System 1 & 2 on the Wikipedia page "dual process theory", section 2.3.2.
[ditto]
The table columns made me think of System 2 as being analogous to Aspergers, and the subsequent paragraph about System 2 in Humans being "evolutionarily recent and specific to humans" makes me wonder - are we further evolved than NTs?

I'm a newbie on here, and have yet to get any definitive professional help, so maybe the above is far wide of the mark.

What do you think?

Thank you for the link. I don't know whether I should post this as it may go under the spamming category on the rules of posting but I have not done it before without any extra information added and I would like to thank you.

I love the BBC Horizon series. Unfortunately I can't watch it from my location. This one sounds very interesting. I always seem to rely more on rational thought than listening to my 'gut' but sometimes I wonder. Many of my decisions are still influenced my my emotions and my 'heart.' And they've not always led to bad things. Sometimes they have.

I'll sit out of the more highly evolved theory. It's been going for years and just leads to one side thinking they are more superior and also autistic people are not the only non-NTs.
