My day at the Autism-Friendly Performance of WICKED

Hello on Sunday March 2 I went with my mom to see atfs autim showing of wiked. The theater was a lot bigger and more crowded then I thought it would be. They gave out figit toys and ear plugs there was also activitys in the halls but we never got a chance to see them . There was also social stories online that could be printed out in advance wich helped. I was shoked because they didn't announce the show It just started with no warning I wish they had in the dinner and comunity theater they did and gave a bunch of warnings. Same thing with the intermition plus it be intermition was shorter then I'm use to. The people and the staff were compassionate and understanding and were wonderful. The play itself was beautiful and amazing I had never seen anything like it.

Anyway I saw two sirvice dogs one who was a black lab I tried to ask the man what the dogs name was but he didn't awnser and walked away with his son. I was so disappointed and wished the man was more friendly. Later after the show we saw another service dog in the hallway this time it was a yellow lab the lady let me pet and said the dog is named Cameron . Cameron was very gentle and friendly.

Later in the lobby we saw these two dogs again after my uncle had come to pick us up. We saw the man with the black Lab again with his son and my uncle asked him where he got the dog my uncle said he was friendly and also he said that they were from the guiding eyes for the blind after her that I began to wonder just for the same dogs that visited our program at camp that we walked around Also while holding on to the harnes whith the lady who brought in the dogs and or one or the counselors held of the the other harness/ leash with and petted and played with These dogs.

After I saw Cameran agian I think they are and i think they were wearing the same vest. Have you ever been to an autism friendly program / proformance? If so how was it? Was it fun? Have you ever met a service dog in public ? Did you ask them about it? We're you able to pet a service dog? Oh, you lucky lucky person! Wicked is one of the most awesome musicals ever! What's your favorite part?

Yes, I've gotten to meet service dogs. A friend of mine has a service dog, and when we meet I usually greet his dog, too. The dog is a very easy-going golden retriever/Lab mix, and he's trained to help my friend pick things up from the ground and help facilitate social interaction. I think service dogs are awesome.

I'm a bit reluctant to greet people with service dogs if I don't know them already, no matter how interested I might be in meeting the dog, because usually they are just trying to go about their business and don't want to be stopped by every dog-lover to have a chat. But if I have the chance, and I happen to be talking to them anyhow, I usually ask them about their dog.

Mine, too. I think everyone loves that part. It's when she finally decides that she's not going to play their game anymore, do her own thing. It's all about freedom.

"Loathing" runs a close second, though. It's just so delightfully funny!
