I'm a little confused about how this works.

If you feel like it, you can mention how many you have and how intense they are or anything else you care to add. Thanks.

I have two very strong lifelong ones, and about 3 other ones that can be strong but come and go. Some of them from when I was a kid are long gone.

It is not mandatory to have special interests. But you do need to have some kind of repetitive behaviours or sensory sensitivity or special interests to meet the diagnostic criteria (i.e. criterion B).

So it is very common, especially with Aspies.

No, not all.

I do, though. Right now it's Kirby and Pokemon. It's kind of hard for me to have two, but I've been coming up with ways to balance them.

:? besides self we dont have that many classic autists here, have noticed there are aspies who confuse what autistic functioning means and also use the terms moderate or severely autistic to describe being moderate or severely aspergan, moderate or severe autism still formaly refers to classic autism and theres big differences between their severity equivilents apart from mild which has a much smaller difference gap, sorry point over.

the special interests of mine are animals, sensory toys, thomas the tank toys and thomas trainsets plus remote control cars.

Would repetitive behaviours include going to YouTube, finding multiple recordings of songs you like (by the original performer or "cover" versions) and listening to the same song over and over again for an hour or two?

John Hall, the writer of the book "Am I Still Autistic?" gave that as an example of his still being on the spectrum, despite functioning fairly well now. (He's worse than me. In a YouTube video, he said he listened to the same recording of the same song in his car again and again for nearly two hours on his way to give a lecture on autism.)

You seem to have both Aspie and neurotypical traits

What would these results mean? Been told here I must be a "half pint".

Even though I go through phases with things all the time, one special interest of mine that's been nearly-constant has been my interest in computers. I honestly don't know what I would do with my life without them. As well, I have a strong interest in music, especially industrial, its related genres, metal, and alternative rock.
