Does anyone get these hang ups on things that last for like a week or 2 and then you forget about them. I have recently developed a strange obsession with mushroom soup of all things, its not like a special interest its just all that I am eating for lunch at the moment and I get really unhappy when there is not any in the house.

I also had an obsession with square potatoes with garlic, I only like potatoes square now. :D

I also had this great idea that I was going to build a miniature castle, like from merlin if anyone has seen the programme, but I lost interest even before I got supplies.

I then decided that I wanted to learn the piano, I had gotten about 3 books on the subject and then lost interest before I could really learn much.

the thing is its not just a passing thought, once these ideas that I want that food or I want to build a castle it will be the only thing that occupies my mind until I lose interest or in the case of food get the food I want.

Anyone else do this?

Yep this happens to me a lot.

I get interested or want something so bad that I HAVE to have it or do it and then a week or two I just kind of don't any more.

If I don't get it everything just feels wrong.

At the moment I have a thing for peach tea. I have to have some at least once every day. Before the tea it was peanut m&ms.

Its happened with a lot of different things.

That tends to happen to me as well, but the occurrence of this that I remember best is when I was about 3 or 4 and became obsessed with Cheetos. I liked the Cheetah character on the bag, and when I tried some, I decided I loved them. I got tired of them pretty quick, though. I think I burned out on them really quick because my parents didn't keep a lot of sweets, junk food and sodas in the house normally and I hadn't acquired a taste for them yet.
