So, this is a very rare topic, would like to know of experiences from diagnosed people and sleep paralysis (if any)

This says AS children are more likely to experience sleep issues but it does not explicitly mention sleep paralysis , I have had problems with Sleep paralysis recently, 2 years ago the problem was very strong, it is right now (thankfully) not getting as frequent as before. I came to the point of getting used to go to sleep very late to ensure it would not happen since it is very scary. (And I was 21 years old back then)

I experience that, from time to time. I'd fall asleep, and than I'd drift off into a dream. The dream would start off really nice, and than it turns out to be scarry. I try to wake up from my nightmare and move around, but I can't move my limbs. Sometimes, it's like I'm not even in my won apartment. It's like I'm in a strange bedroom. It feels like I have to wake up five times, before I can recognize my surroundings. It's very strange.

I have only had it happen twice, and one time was during a nightmare. It was the first time, and very scary. I was traumatised for a couple days afterward. The second time wasn't too bad, I just forced myself to go back to sleep after I realized no one could hear my screams. I haven't had another in about five years. I'll keep my fingers crossed for now.

I've never experiences sleep paralysis, although my sister has.
I think that sleep issues are due to our apparent lack of filter; it's like an NT going to sleep after witnessing an explosion.

Many times. The last time I was actually scared was mid last year though. I mostly wake up mid dream but I snap out of it somewhat quickly.

when i was a kid, most nights of the week i had nightmares. i talked in my sleep, walked, and occasionally would wake up from a nightmare and 'see' spiders crawling all over my room, the bed, etc.
i have some pretty big issues with spiders as a result.
the last few years, though, i've been having this happen again. the only difference is that it's usually one really large spider and i scare the hell out of mark. because he hates them, too, he can't just blow it off right away as being a hallucination. he is going to turn on the light and double-check. :-p

I used to have this very often, now it's only seldom. It's quite terrifying. Everytime I realize it is happening, I scream inside of my head until I wake up.

No, I found it informative in ways. In my case, I would have a dreamlike overlay on top of reality. Part of the problem is that your eyes are at least partially open, so you get this mixture of reality with a veneer of dream painted over it. It showed me how memory and perception differed.

I had sleep paralysis for the better of 20 years. It left when I poop-canned the sources of my stresses.

I've had a couple of episodes since, but they have been different; I've been able to move out of all but one of them. That one, my kid woke me from, which was good cause I was STUCK.

I have experienced instances of sleep paralysis. There have been times when I couldn't turn over in bed. It's scary.

This has happened to me many times. It doesn't happen as often anymore, and doesn't always scare me as much. At least 2 of my cousins and my sister have experienced it, but not as often as myself. Sometimes I'm just fine with it and go back to sleep. But am I the only one who sees people in the room, often staring at me and talking? That's when it can get pretty scary.

This actually happened to me last night. It's been a while since I recall it happening before. I was trying to wake up from a bad dream where I found a dead body and couldn't move for a while.

I do agree it is scary.
