Anyone found a hack for building physical awareness and being less clumsy or messy, and more mature and "stable" - meaning physically adept, extra tidy and able to keep things in order? Or any tips?

Supposedly crawling and using monkey bars help.

As does using a balance beam (you can start with tape on the floor and work up).

Spending time getting really focused before I move greatly helps with my motor planning (and speech).

Visual-spatial-focused video games helped me. Tetris, for example; block puzzles; building and simulation games. Games that involve maneuvering through space, such as first-person shooters, would probably also be useful, but I think FPS games are kind of boring, so I've never really gotten into them.

Classes in dance, yoga, or martial arts will help with the clumsiness (be sure the studio has mirrors to give you feedback about your form, since your AS nervous system doesn't.) That won't help with the untidyness, though--it is not caused by lack of physical coordination in your body, but by executive dysfunction in your brain.

Phyiscally adept /= tidy.

For building physical awareness, take up MMA training.
