\As far as I know not everyone with downs syndrome is mentally challenged or has a very low IQ, not entirely sure though. But I never like to think of it in terms of who has it worse....one group vs. another. I think it probably depends on the individual, their severity of the disorder and the social and environmental factors. Maybe some people with downs syndrome have it better than people with autism, maybe in some cases it is the other way around. I think it mostly depends on the individual situation not the particular disorder someone has.
I am sure people could argue over 100 pages of who has it better vs who has it worse, but in the end it really depends on the individual situation.
