Sometime I think we would have been better off if we were born with down syndrome instead of autism. Really, those people seem to have friends, family, and good life compared to most of us. Then again most of them are basically mentally challenged with very low IQ, so it isn't good either. What do you all think, who has it worst us or them?

\As far as I know not everyone with downs syndrome is mentally challenged or has a very low IQ, not entirely sure though. But I never like to think of it in terms of who has it worse....one group vs. another. I think it probably depends on the individual, their severity of the disorder and the social and environmental factors. Maybe some people with downs syndrome have it better than people with autism, maybe in some cases it is the other way around. I think it mostly depends on the individual situation not the particular disorder someone has.

I am sure people could argue over 100 pages of who has it better vs who has it worse, but in the end it really depends on the individual situation.

I never liked the competition about who has it worse and the us vs them.

What does the winner of the who has it worse with their struggles contest win?

Same thought! It's something that keeps cropping up, like people can't accept that there are a multitude of conditions which can make life hard and you wouldn't necessarily be "better off" with someone else's pain just because they have something you want.
