I have a gobby bird in my garden. Now sounds of nature don't usually bother me too much (unless a dog suddenly barks close by in which case I scream and literally jump off the side walk) but this particular bird has been chirping at the top of its little bird lungs for some time now. It seems to be the lead singer in the choir outside my window.

Noisy critters.

What sounds of nature are you bothered by?

I must say, I love the sound of the birds singing.

I am surrounded by trees so I'm quite lucky in that sense.

To be honest I can't think of a single sound in nature that bothers me that much.

Even screaming children don't bother me that much.

Screaming babies/young children, if that counts.
Also, don't like being out in strong wind because of the noise, but other than that, can't really think.

That's where we differ because I love the sound of the strong wind in the trees. It's just so powerful and it reminds me of how insignificant I am, in the grand scheme of things.

I can't understand why anyone would be bothered by birdsong and the rustling of the trees. I think they're beautiful sounds.

It means being loud, a bit brash.

Thanks.

I'm no expert at this sort of thing--but could there be sensory issues occurring?

I hate repetitive bird noises.

Noisy wood pigeons at 4:30 am in the summer can be annoying but now there are a few red kites to sort out the excessive number of wood pigeons allowing for a decent sleep.

I don't like the sound of cicadas here in Chicagoland in the late summer months. NTs complain about them too.

I love the cry of the bluejay in winter - just because its says, I'm a tough bird that doesn't have to migrate. (Cardinals stay too).

Got the biggest kick out of grackles in Texas, especially when the come in for a landing and they wiggle their v-shaped butt feathers. Canada geese are interesting to watch landing, but they sure do make a mess, especially on soccer fields.

They usually are, but this one was loud, persistent, high pitched and drowned out all the other singing birdies around it. It was more of a repeated squawk than a song.
