I just finished reading it, and I thought it was amazing!! It gives fantastic insight into Naoki's life, and the reasons why he does things that seem strange or unreasonable to neurotypicals....things a lot of us do, in fact. I wish there were some way we could get more of the NT community to read it, and to really take something away from it; not just to have some famous NT person endorsing it and simply saying "Oh this is a great book" you know what I mean?

It must be a really good book to read....I might try reading it

I've read the book 'The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time' an it was so good....I love it
I recommend you read it if you haven't yet or maybe you could try reading 'Anything but Typical' about a boy with autism trying to fit in
It's a very good book as well....It's set I first person just like 'the curious incident'

Thanks for the recommendation Niche, I had never heard of "Anything But Typical" but I just found it and bought it on amazon. I would also highly recommend "Rogue" and "Navigating Early". It's very cute, but set in the 1940's so the only way you know Early has autism is the way his character is described, and the fact that in a note at the end, the author mentions that he has it; it's never mentioned in the book. I really like Early, he's the kind of aspie I wish I could meet in real life.
