Most of us have a mild routine of some sort.
Tell me about them!

Wake up at 5:30am. Use toilet. Apply deodorant, take meds, brush teeth, do hair, shave (if needed), get dressed, apply cologne. Get in car at 6am. Pick up breakfast and eat at work. Go to bathroom at 8am. Go to lunch at 11am. Go home at 4pm. Eat dinner at 5pm. Shower after dinner, then play video games or watch TV. The girlfriend throws the after 4pm thing out the door though.

Professor X here, I suppose when it comes to Autistic routines, mine could best be summed up in that I often twitch my fingers whether it's during the time I might be on the internet  as well, sometimes when I might be talking to someone in the offline fashion.Yes, most likely you could say, this might be a nervous tic however, this strange reality has been going on since I was a little kid so, I think that rules out nervous tics shall I say.

Beyond this there are no further eccentricities I can think of unless you wish to mention the fact, I often using dialogue from massive number of films I've seen over the course of my life.Ah, this does not mean that all of my words come from cinema no! just, there are times when I do include maybe a quote or two when in conversation with someone yet, it's done in a manner that is non-annoying atleast that is my intention.

I really liked this post. :)

Hmm, routines. Yes. Used to have a hell of a lot of them, but am slightly less obsessive. But I believe I still have a sort of routinised life. For one, I always get up, straighten my bed, put the kettle on, put my laptop on, put coffee into my cup, pee, make my coffee and sit down to check this forum and my emails. I then either get dressed and go out, or shower, dress and go out. I always get my clothes laid out before I shower and I seem to pick them in a specific order too... trousers first, then top, then pants, then socks. I also always clean my teeth before I shower. In shower, I wash in a specific order. Hair, front torso, arms, armpits, back torso and sides, face, legs, feet, private areas.

I do not have a specific routine always when I go out, but I seem to go to asda at the same time daily(asda is a large food and other things store) and I often go to the library before I go there. I even have a specific order of things when I get ready to leave the house... dried, measure waist, get dressed(pants first, then socks, trousers, top), put moisturiser on face, put foundation on, put watch on, put coat on, do hair and put hairband on. I then put my phone in a pouch and take out my mp3 player, put anything I need in my bag and put my house keys in my left pocket along with my nicotine inhalator lol.

When I get home, same old thing. I put shopping down, put on kettle, unpack shopping, sort out dinner and make coffee, put on laptop and plug in tv and vcr, then settle down to post on this forum...sometimes I measure my waist too first.

Home from school, take out contact lenses, brush teeth, use toilet, take three hour nap. On weekends: wake up, breakfast, bush teeth, back to sleep.

I don't like routines. Doing the same old thing day after day would totally get on my nerves. The only routine I DO like is the TV schedule. :)

Praetorius,

You and my father have the SAME routine!

As for ME? I have a set of requirements, and now have a LOT of tolerance, as NOBODY but me seems willing to do them. 8-( If I stuck with my old way of doing things, I would have even LESS time, or be dead. 8-(

Hmmm. Wake up at 5:30 and let dog out. Feed cats. Pour coffee. Turn laptop on. Write, read, post. Turn laptop off and put it in case. Get dressed for work. Leave. Get to work at 7:30. At 8 A.M. Admin comes to get me to go get coffee. Coffee dude make me same coffee every day. Coffee dude tries to touch hand, I pull away. Work on tech doc. 9 A.M. conference call. Noon - Admin comes to get me to get lunch and tells me what I'm going to eat. Eat lunch at desk and goof off online. More tech doc. 4 P.M. conference call. 4:30 P.M. go home. 6 P.M. hubby home. Big excitement. 7 P.M. Eat what hubby puts in front of me. 8 P.M. take shower. Whenever he says, That's enough, time for bed.

Always get my gas at the same station on the same day of the week at the same time and go to the same pump. Same with ATM. Always the same one at the same time on the same day. If someone is there, I leave.

Breakfast is always oatmeal (Two packets of the instant stuff) and a banana. This is at 6 a.m.
At 9 a.m. it's a bowl of cereal and a hard boiled egg.
Lunch at noon--could be anything. (Except for Friday, then it's two peanut butter and jelly sandwiches)
Yogurt and coffee at 2 p.m.
Apple in the car on the way home from work.

Other things include going the same route through the grocery store, and buying the same thing every week.
