I feel awful today :( I went outside to have lunch and found that the bright sunshine was incredibly opressive to me today. On the way back from lunch I felt really lethargic and I could tell I was suffering internally.

At one point on the walk back I spaced out for a few seconds, but kept on walking with out realizing it. Then I felt even more lethargic afterwards.

I got back up to my dorm room and laid down in bed and watched as things swirled infront of my eyes and everything took on a deep redish hue.

This is going to suck, I have a full agenda I need to carry out this afternoon and I surely don't feel like doing it. :(

Why? What circumstances may have led
to this situation? Did you just wake up
this way? Hmmmm?

Is there anything we can do to help?

How about some external motivation?

Everytime you complete one of your task....post about it!

I understand how you feel, Scoots.

Sometimes when I am in a state like that, it is easier to just take a nap, and save the work for later, if at all possible.

Hang in there Scoots. Sometimes high energy music can get me motivated to do what must be done. Other times there's nothing that works - kind of reminds me of the old saying, "Beating a Dead Horse" - nothing is going to work.

Define what is going on first; Are you in a "overload phase" right now or is is more of an "inertia moment?" If you are in overload, it would be best to eliminate everything except what is absolutely in dire need of being done, and then vegetate for the rest of the day doing something that soothes you. If inertia is the problem, I like the idea of posting each task you get through....that way you have all of us to cheer you on and motivate you. :D

Scott, I feel awful today as well. My throat hurts so bad from crying yelling and screaming for 3 days. Actually everyday feels the same. It starts with some kind of silly hope of beeing happy, and ends with the hope of a new day, without there actually having happened anything in between.

This is just one of those days where I find I have low tolerance to everything going on around me. Stepping outside into the bright sunshine felt like being slammed by a wall of water. I've was walking from place to place this afternoon with my eyes closed, opening them only briefly to see where I'm going so I don't hit anything

I've been busy since 12:30 this afternoon. Most of the time I've been indoors which has helped keep the edge off things. right now I'm taking a break from things. At 5:30 I have to get back to work again finishing up an asignment for a class which will take probably two hours at the most.

Then I have to grab a bite to eat and study up for history class tomorrow.

But.... I am surviving

The joy! The joy!

Hang in there! I hate it when I have those days. What helps me is to take a lot of Rescue Remedy, Lemon Balm, and then I turn the lights down low and/or wear my sunglasses. I take an hour nap, drink my favorite tea of the moment (warm food and drink really help me) and keep my fingers crossed.

My poor baby girl had to spend the day in the basement with me today, b/c I woke up completely overstimulated (she woke up a lot last night) and I couldn't see very well.

Hopefully you will feel better. I hate brain fog days.

Tallgirl.

My day is finally over.

I survived. And suprisingly I feel quite well right now.

I had to edit a project with a partner. I was with him all afternoon shooting footage for it. I had to leave him for awhile to help with the taping of the final episode of the semester of "titan tech".

I met up with him again at 5:30. My partner is always ten minutes behind everyone else, which agravates me to no end becasue when we agreed on 5:30, he came at 5:40.

Well he shows up, and as usual, I'm the only one who knows what the heck is going on, so I had to step up to the plate and try and show him as best as possible how to work the editor.

Other people were editing and the sounds a 6 different tape machines clicking and scrubbing made it difficult to concentrate on the two monitors in front of me. But I had a task to do and my partner and myself managed to get our assingment done and turned in in just under two hours.

Now I can lay down for a while.

If this happens again I'd check it out with a GP. I know someone who had glandula fever for months without even knowing it and they described the symptoms you just did.
