...and I'm effing terrified!

I've been rocking and twitching all evening, and even got all teary-eyed at the thought of it. Not going to be able to sleep a wink tonight, and I need to be up and gone by 5:30am to be at the testing in Houston by 8:30. God knows how that is going to affect my score. But then again, maybe all the stress will give me a truer diagnosis than if I was calm and collected and perhaps able to appear more together than I am. I went in to a couple of sites to prepare myself for the types of tests I'll likely be taking. That has helped a little, but I'm still super-worried. I guess a good point is that I've never been bothered by test anxiety (it's just about the only anxiety I DON'T have!).

Wish me luck...

Go as far as you can see. When you get there, you will see farther.

I remember that feeling. I barely slept the night before my testing either. Try not to stress out too much, the tests are actually pretty interesting, and in my case, it was just me and the test-giver in a nice quiet room which was very calming. I behaved as I always would in that kind of situation, which I thought was perfectly normal, but when I got my results the tester had noted some things that I didn't even realize I had done or had not done. So don't worry about how you act too much, even if you surprise yourself and end up feeling calm and collected once the tests start. :) Try to get as much sleep as you can tonight and eat a good breakfast in the morning. I hope it all goes well for you! It won't be too much longer now before you have your answer!

Good luck! I was terrified for my first test too, heck I was terrified for my intake interview! Just try your best to get a good night's sleep (like I'm not doing) and eat well before you go. I was too nervous to eat before my test, and when the anxiety died down, the gnawing hunger was very distracting. Do you know what tests you're taking? Are you doing them all at once or over several days? Let us know how it goes!

I didn't sleep at all. I was so nervous, I had a panic attack during the test. I got lost on the way there, and I had a freak-out and had to call the person. He had to guide me and kept telling me to breathe.

If anything, you are acting your "true" self.

Good luck.

Whatever you learn will be interesting and almost certainly useful. There is really no downside to this, as long as it's affordable.

Congratulations on taking it this far. I look forward to hearing your news, if you care to share it later.
