I read websites about this topic but I never seem to grasp what is the difference INFP/INFJ. They seem quite similar. It doesn't help that my results change between the two depending on the test.
Does anyone here know about mbti types? can you help me?

I don't know but if you find out I'd like to know. I am an INFJ myself.

I'm close, Bumble: I'm an ISFJ.

Have you made any Mousterian tools yet?

No but i did come across the method of making them at a museum I visited the other day. Time and Tide museum in Yarmouth. It mostly covers yarmouth's herring fishing trade but there are some prehistoric displays there along with a number of ancient flint hand axes and a description of how they were made.

I think they were dredged up by fishing vessels on the bed of the north sea.

Are there actually places where flint is mined?

Are you familiar with the work of the Leakeys? Of course you are!

The same thing happens for me! I get alternating results of INFP or INFJ, with the scores almost equal between J and P.

I have read a lot about the difference between the two types and it's still not totally clear to me either. And I have read that these are the two types that people have the most trouble differentiating. They appear similar but according to the underlying cognitive functions they are basically polar opposites who don't share any functions. And people say you have to look at the functions to know which one you really are.

INFP primarily uses introverted feeling and extraverted intuition

INFJ primarily uses introverted intuition and extraverted feeling

The Jungian cognitive functions:

Also something I have seen mentioned a lot is that INFJ is more likely to use direct language to tell other people what to do. INFP uses more indirect and informational language. For example:

INFJ says: Go to the store and buy some milk.

INFP says: We are almost out of milk.

The difference is in the functions.
INFJ functions: Ni>Fe>Ti>Se
INFP functions: Fi>Ne>Si>Te

Ni= introverted intuition
Fe= extraverted feeling
Ti= introverted thinking
Se= extraverted sensing

Fi= introverted feeling
Ne= extraverted intuition
Si= introverted sensing
Te= extraverted thinking

extraverted functions are those you use towards the world and other people; introverted functions are those you use internally, towards yourself and your beliefs.

INFJ:
primary: introverted intuition (Ni)- INFJs like exploring new ides, but they usually are orderly in their thoughts and don't think about too many unrelated things at the same time like Ne people do.
secondary: extraverted feeling (Fe): INFJs are very warm and empathetic towards people
tertiary: introverted thnking (Ti)- this is the tertiary function; people are not immediately born with this functions but they develop it later in their lives (usually during teen years). As they grow up INFJs try to give the world a logical sense and highly value their knowledge.
repressed function: extraverted sensing (Se)- the repressed function is the one that a type lacks. In INFJs it is Se. Basically INFJs have troubles connecting with physical world because they are too spiritual (dunno if it's the right word, sorry) and they don't seek the "thrill of action" and such stuff.

INFP:
primary: introverted feeling (Fi)- while most INFPs are empathetic people, Fi is not about feelings towards other people. INFPs tend to have very strong values, view the world in terms of "good and bad" rather than "right or wrong" and have a hard time being impartial.
secondary: extraverted intuition (Ne)- INFPs like to think about every type of ideas even if unrelated, and they have a hard time stopping their minds from daydreaming and/or racing.
tertiary: introverted sensing (Si)- during teen years and adulthood INFPs develop this function that makes them value their experience and trust it for the future.
repressed function: extraverted thinking (Te)- TE is about planning and organization. INFPs have a hard time getting organized and following plans.

My functions are: Ne>Ti>Fi>Ni>Se>Si>Te>Fe
this means that the types I am most likely to be are:
ENTP (Ne>Ti>Fe>Si)
INTP (Ti>Ne>Si>Fe)
ENFP (Ne>Fi>Te>Si)
INFP (Fi>Ne>Si>Te)

I am though an ENTP that gets often mistaken with an INTP; I am more likely to be an xNTP anyway. People mistype me as an INTP because I look like an introvert... Until I find someone interesting to talk to. When this happens, I look obviously like an ENTP. People mistype me as an INTP also because my tertiary and repressed functions are inverted: most ENTPs are Ne>Ti>Fe>Si, but I am Ne>Ti>Si>Fe. Basically my first two functions are like those of an ENTP and the other two are like those of an INTP.
