My phone was telling me it was an hour earlier than it actually was, so I thought I had an hour until my appointment with the psychologist, but I found out that somehow my stupid phone was wrong and I had 15 minutes to get there. I called and asked if I could get there a bit late but they now say I have to reschedule for 2 weeks in the future!

How do you deal with this? Because I really want to break something right now.

I have successfully tried for years to "get off the grid" electronically. That includes using any clock that requires electricity or batteries. These days, smart phones have lives of their own and a simple app update can have a cascade effect with other apps on the phone changing settings and such. I won't use a smart phone for that and many other reasons. Anyway, you can get a mechanical wind-up alarm clock for about $15 (probably less at Walmart). I don't use it 24/7, but only when I have an appointment early in the morning.

If you want to break something, you can punish your stupid phone and break it (put it in a strong plastic bag before breaking it so that the broken pieces won't make a mess). You'll never have to see it again. Then you can buy a better smart phone that is more reliable. An iPhone has too many restrictions. So I'd say you should get an Android phone.

That happened to me once with my alarm. I always use my phone as an alarm, but I set 3 alarms on work mornings, so that I don't have to get up straight away, then when the third alarm goes off I always know that's when it's time to get up. But one morning, lo and behold, the third alarm didn't go off, even though I remember setting it just like the other two (which both did go off fine). So if I lived on my own I wouldn't have got up in time for work, and would have been like an hour late or something.

I hate it when phones randomly don't do something.

I sometimes grab a pillow and slam it into the sofa or bed until the desire to lash out goes away. It can be surprisingly satisfying.

That sucks, my brothers phone was doing that the other day but he didn't have to be anywhere and other people had phones with the time. Also I guess I'd say if you gotta break something see to it, that it's not your phone...unless you are considering replacing it anyways then I suppose it doesn't matter though then you cannot sell it. Otherwise what things do you generally do to mellow out if anything?

Don't iphones also have costly monthly bills...and as far as I know they don't have no contract ones. I have an android phone through Net10 which is either 40 or 50 a month for unlimited text, talk and data/internet depending on the pay as you go card I buy the 50 dollar one just has somewhat faster internet service or something.

But yeah also just thought of if the iphone does have some contract thing like for 2 years or whatever, breaking it might not be a good idea since then the monthly bill would still exist or there would be a cancellation fee....I know my sister got some phone(smart phone but not an Iphone) and it ended up working like crap but she was stuck paying for it for a year or 2 can't quite remember. And they won't replace it if it looks like you've broken it.

Phones sync with the towers to know what time it is. How did yours get off by an hour?
