Is it weird to not have sympathy when somebody that you dislike is having troubles?
I don't wish this person any bad and I don't take pleasure from what's going on, but I could care less that it is too. I know her pretty well and have to interact with her a lot so it's like one human basically not caring about another human.
Do "normal" people care when somebody they don't care for is having a hard time?
I should add, I understand why what's she's going through is bad and can empathize with the problem itself, just not that she is going through it. She could go jump in a lake for all I care!

This isn't weird. Most people feel like this more frequently than they're willing to admit. That's why we have things like wars, politics, and Walmart.

It's hard to care about someone who is mistreating us. I still care if the person is clearly hurt or upset, but from what I can see, most people generally don't. So no, not unusual at all.

It's very hard to feel sorry for someone when they are mean to you. So I don't care if someone I don't like is having troubles. Nothing weird about that.
