Right now, my life is meaningless because I don't have a focus. How do I focus hard enough on something so that it's not just a one or two day thing? How do I rebuild it? I'm also very unorganized.

Oh, gosh, I relate to this so well. I'm 28 and life has been very meaningless because my focus is terrible and very shifting.

I'm really not sure what to suggest.

What is sort of, kind of working for me is to meditate and to attempt to override the issue with focus by becoming a bit mechanical with how I deal with life. Just telling myself strictly and sternly that things need to get done.

Easier said than done. I have an exam tomorrow and my focus is dreadful.

I'm sorry I cannot help more. :/. I wish I knew the answer.

Is it easier to focus on things that you enjoy? or maybe you could find a way to tie your daily tasks to an overall goal.

I think it would help to narrow things down. What is it you want to focus on or what do you want to gain?

Once you know that, you can break it down. An essay could be written in stages such as choosing a topic, purpose, and audience, and then prewriting, rough draft, final draft, and finished essay. You could set a goal of 30 minutes a day with no distractions available.

How do I figure what steps it breaks down into?

Perhaps you should try to focus on why you need to artificially introduce a focus in your life to feel content, and how you could change that. What does it mean that your life is "meaningless"? Does your life need to be meaningful? Why does your focus need to last more than a couple of days? Is there something unsatisfactory about switching focus every few days?

Maybe you could find a more permanent focus if you go through a period of temporary foci, kind of like trying a bunch of things until you find one that works for you.
