For the record, my hair isn't even that long.

I've been doing this since I was little. Who else?

I also have short hair. I don't 'pull' it, but I run my hand through it an unusual amount of times. Is that 'similar' enough to be noteworthy?

I just tug on mine a lot. It's soothing to me.

Ran hands through it as part of a routine and a sub-routine, it is soothing and I find it incredibly soothing when my mum does it.

used to do it extremely often, then thanks to a post about shaving head from a once regular member; danielismyname had started to shave all hair off for severe sensory reasons which also as a side effect eventualy stopped the urge of tricholomania.

I did it for years and had bare spots here and there. Now I only pull a hair or five now and then.

I want to do this so bad, because I pull my hair constantly. That or a buzz cut. But I work in corporate America, afraid people would freak out.

A common form of stimming for those of us on the spectrum. I keep my hair so short now the best I can do is give my head a good rub.

oh god, i used to be so bad with it as a kid, i had my GP tell me off for it as i was getting a bald spot on the back of my head in just one place. So i got scared and stopped, but it felt 'wrong' to me, it made me feel a bit hibbly jibbly inside. So instead i run my fingers through my hair for loose stands and wrap it round my fingernails and fingers instead and its comforting and also an unconcious habit. Lots of people see me do it and quite a few people ask what am i doing, why do i do that, etc. And to be honest when i give them the answer, they look at me weirdly. eh, nevermind.
