I find that its not easy for me to empathise with people. I feel guilt and shame etc but I dont actually feel any emotion for the person concerned. I have my own internal morality which prohibits me from harming others but this isn't because I feel a sense of empathy.

Animals on the other hand. If I were to injure a dog I would feel far more compassion and empathy for the animal. A likely scenario might be knocking over a dogwalker/dog. I would be far more emotionally engaged with the dog than the walker.

Anyone else feel the same

I think I empathize with both equally.

Definitely animals. I don't feel a thing when I hear about stabbings or whatever on the TV, but I hate stories about animals that have died or been injured due to human activities. This is especially true for mammals and reptiles, as well as sea life. I don't even know why this is. I just prefer them I guess.

More with humans actually. Mostly because I realize empathizing more with animals and being a carnivore is hypocritical.

I feel empathy and compassion for some people and in some situations. I feel empathy and compassion for most animals and in most situations. I can tolerate hearing a sad, tragic story about a human. It is intolerable for me to hear tragedy about an animal.

Far, far more with animals.
With people I only feel empathy when I'm emotionally invested in them

Same here. I love animals and people equally and can put my mind in anybody view as long as I know the details.
