Do any of you find it amazingly relieving and relaxing to have massages?

Sometimes I feel so sensitive to touch, that just someone brushing against me can feel very good (in a strictly non-sexual way). It is just very relaxing and relieves stress in my body immediately.

I've always loved massages and what I used to call 'tickles' where the nails are run over the skin lightly. That and going to the hairdressers. To have my hair washed and cut is heaven in terms of sensory stimulation.

I remember living with my sister and we would give each other massages each day. It relieved my anxieties and even worry thoughts calmed down. I'm tempted to get some extra job in order to pay for a massage weekly.

I'm sensitive/ ticklish, so it takes nearly all of my strength to stop myself from laughing when they wash my hair.

I love a deep tissue massage. I do not like having my hair done though. I only get it one once or twice a year when I absolutely have to. It's a good thing my hairdresser and I are very good buddies and I love her totally. Otherwise it would be torture getting my hair done.

Heh. My ex-partner was Aspie and she liked the tickles I gave her but at times it was far too much stimulation for her. Verging on uncomfortable I think.

see I am the opposite. I am way to ticklish for a massage. if I laugh to much even my clothes tickle me to where I have to get rid of them ( only if I can) when others even myself poke me I want to beat their brains in because it arouses my anger. though there are time I hurt so bad in my back I need a massage.

Sometimes I get too "ticklish" and pull away before I'm ever touched, and other times I snap comments like, "DON'T EVER TOUCH MY FOOT AGAIN!! !!" because it just doesn't feel nice. My aunt cuts my hair because she's used to me wiggling when it tickles. lol

It's nice when the kitties crawl on my back while I'm sleeping, though. Except one gets mad when you try to wake up, and that's less than fun.

Tickling provokes physical pain in me. I do love deep tissue massage; if it's too light, it uncomfortable. Like you, I love the feeling of having my hair washed by a hair dresser. It's an incredible feeling. So much so that I'm always sad to find out my hair is clean and the scalp massage is done.

I don't like to be touched by people I don't know well, so I would never pay to have a massage. But I used to have a friend who liked to give back massages, and she massaged my back once, and it made me feel really relaxed.

There are aspects of getting my hair cut at a salon that I hate, (being touched by a stranger, feeling anxious because I'm not talking, etc. I just feel awkward the whole time) but I like it when someone plays with my hair, and I like what my hair looks like afterwards.

my mom and dad massage my neck, shoulders and back a lot to comfort me. my mom usually runs her knuckle up and down my spine when i'm out at places, to help relax me. a lot of times my dad can tell when i'm stressing (probably by my stims) and he'll sit next to me on the couch and go to town on my neck and shoulders. I have great parents. :)

Yes.

Fortunately for me I'm gay & there are quite a lot of gay guys into giving/receiving massages simply because it feels great. I tend to massage others more than I'm massaged, but I do enjoy it as well. Sometimes I'm a bit ticklish, but for the most part massage is fantastic. I don't often need others for massage, though, as we happen to have a heated leather massage chair at home that does a great job.

I have some friends that will go visit massage parlours or a massage school or an RMT friend for a massage every so often, but I've never bothered with a professional massage myself. I'm sure it would be good, though.

Or, if you're open to it, find someone else equally interested in massage & simply trade off massaging one another. There are plenty of people out there like this that aren't into anything sexual but just enjoy both giving and receiving massages.

Or find a massage school for inexpensive massages. Or a recent graduate willing to work for lower rates. But your least expensive bet is to barter massage for massage with someone. There are fairly frequent personal ad postings on craigslist for exactly that so it can't be that uncommon in other cities.

I think deep tissue massage is ok. When I got it, the person never could find the tightest spots. So I still had a lot of tension at the end.

Surprisingly though, getting my hair wash at the barber shop never bothers me at all.
