Hello,

I was wondering what kind of disasters you guys have had at home. I've had loads. I actually have a ban from the kitchen because of the amount of times I've accidently nearly set the house on fire. I've also flooded several bathrooms a few times and I always manage to accidentally break stuff.

I'm hoping that I'm not the only one who does really stupid stuff thinking that its ok when its not. I only realise until someone tells me. I also need to know because I'm working with my ASD support group on making a film about how aspies struggle and what people can do to help, so any examples of disasters you have had will be great!! (I'll put your name in the credits too) :D

I'm also new to this website btw :3

Thanks x

I'll also post the film here when it's eventually done :D

Welcome Sophaylavendar. You are certainly not the only one. I started a kitchen fire once. I was trying to bake bread and the pilot light on the stove was out so I decided to deep fry it. I had never deep fried anything before in my life, nor have I since. I filled three apartments with smoke. Luckily we were able to not have the whole building go up in flames.

I also messed with an upstairs toilet once when I was told not to. It went through the floor and ruined the brand new living carpet the had just put in the day before.

Dont know about it being a disaster.

Forgetting my food in the oven for many many hours, it being charcoal and kitchen full of smoke.
Forgetting to close the fridge. I discovered that you can actually make snow in it, if its open an entire night.

and when cleaning i still do the spoon fail. Where for some reason while washing spoon under water turning it the wrong way around and suddenly you have water all over your kitchen and your pants.

I recently accidentally set the microwave popcorn for 13 minutes rather than 1 minute 30 seconds. The whole downstairs was engulfed in smoke and I am still cleaning popcorn grease out of the microwave weeks later.

Over the winter my dog chewed my electric blanket while I had it turned on, and it started a little flame while I was still in bed. I managed to stop it, but I became very aware of fire, so I try to be extra careful in the kitchen. I've only almost caught a ramen noodle cup on fire, because I forgot to put water in it before I microwaved it. lol Microwave popcorn is too unreliable, so I just make it on the stove. This reminds me, I should buy a fire extinguisher.

I've flooded the laundry room trying to wash a blanket. This morning I backed into a telephone pole, although I fortunately managed to only scratch my truck a little. I can't think of anything else, guess I'm pretty disaster free. :)

Not too many disasters.. but I did forget to remove the cardboard from frozen pizza, and set my friend's oven on fire. I made baked apples and forgot about them, leading to a serious fruit fly incident. (Same friend's apt. ) I set a girl's hair on fire in science class. I think the scariest was catching my hand in a die cut machine, but that ended up okay.
