I recently read a story about an autistic man (maybe an Aspie) who just wrote a book about being autistic or just his life in general. He lives in England and has the ability to see numbers as colors in his head. He recently recited pi to some rediculous length like 25,000 places. Anyone know his name or have links to the stories? I know its not much to go off of, but I really want to find more info.

Daniel Tammet is his name. He wrote a autobiography called "Born on a Blue Day", published last year.

Thanks! That's him! I read about him on wednesday, then on thursday, at dinner with my coworkers, my boss mentioned him, and I didn't know what to say. I considered telling him about having Asperger's, but I didn't. I don't want anyone thinking of me as disabled or different or unable to perform certain tasks.

Thanks again.... Daniel..... coincidence?

I like the name Daniel. My uncle was a Daniel...very good artist too. Got the Tammet book, not far off finishing it. Little bit expensive for what isn't a very large book, but nevermind.
