I've read online that a lot of people with Asperger's experience a second puberty in their 20s and this is the case for me.

Anyone else?

What happens in the second puberty that doesn't happen in the first puberty?

That seemed to happen to me from the age of 21 until I was 29. I was also doing stuff that I didn't feel free to do during my original puberty such as wearing my favourite clothes and going to the mall each weekend. It was almost like I was making up for the adolescence that I didn't take advantage of when I was in my teens. While my peers were settling down and starting families, I was parading the streets.

For me my penis has grown larger, I've gotten taller, my feet have grown, and I have gotten much thinner and lankier.

Yeah for me I've gotten much more social.

There might be something to this.

I grew another inch in height when I was about 20 years old.

I would say I had a biological puberty at the normal age, and a psychological puberty in my mid-twenties. I don't think I was even really attracted to boys before then, though I thought I was. I was attracted to cute faces and wanted boys to like me, but I don't think I ever desired any physical contact.

Yeah I can emphasize with this.

I'm not to sure about a second puberty. To be honest I can't even remember a first one.

I just tell people that I'm a late developer, it's less technical.

Stopped growing in height at age 8, a year after starting my menstrual cycle. Otherwise, I guess I'm aging way faster. Maybe when I'm late-30s I'll get the social awareness of a pubertal NT.

I think I matured during my 20's (which I've nearly reached the end of now.) Part of the experiance has been me becoming more social, more independent and more willing to experiment with my apperance etc...These are all things that teeagers are supposed to do. Someone I know from church, who is older than me, thought that I passed over from being emotionally adolescent to emotionally a man at age 28. I agree with his assessment. However, this is maturing, not going through a second puberty. Physically I haven't really changed since I was 20. I stopped growing, then but boys are apparently supposed to stop growing by 21, according to the medical websites I've looked at. I'm not saying that everyone has had the same experiance as me, but I would hesitate to call it a second puberty unless there have been physical changes. People mature constantly. That's life. I'm sure I'm not done maturing yet.

p.s. the link that GlennBecksTears put on here doesn't have anything to do with Autism. Not that that's a crime, but it might not be relevent to what's happening to the people who have posted comments on this topic.
