Hmm, I wonder if Wrongplanet was mentioned recently in any articles? That might explain the user growth.

There was also that recent autism chromosome discovery too, which has gotten a bit popular.

If you think about it, compared to the number of people who have Asperger's, their friends, their family, their caretakers, even 9,291 (or whatever the number is now) WP members is LOW. As another comparison, the forums at MacRumors.com, website that mostly targets just people interested in rumors about Apple products, have 99,461 members (last I checked). There's still much room for WP to grow, and it will grow more, if Alex can handle the hosting requirements.

Yeah, all of us new users must be here simply because autism has been in the news lately and we've decided to jump on the bandwagon. Sigh.

I asked about the new users and yeah I'm one in the newbie area. Alex was kind enough to reply, basicly he said it was about normal. Band wagon, cool to have, lol. If I asked for it, I wish I could remember whom I got it from, I'd like to return it. Actually I think it's a mixed blessing, has it bad points, but there are some things I can do that mere mortals can't. I have to look at it that way or it will eat me alive.
